(Intro) You spoke and broke for something less Who were you to make this mess Who were you to try to stand A flyer who could never land Yes the thief of me was you And I’d been catching all you threw The car engine stopped but we kept on going Far in the rocks and far in the snow, we, oh We might be foreigners and we might lords But who are we to draw our swords? We might be criminals and we might saints It’s something we lost, it’s something we gained. I bite the words, they come undone It's twisted tongues and paper lungs Who was I to make amends With something I knew would not bend It tastes like dirt inside my head I try to swim but drown instead The boat still rocked but we kept on floating Somewhere we could not come home from We might be foreigners and we might lords But who are we to draw our swords? We might be criminals and we might saints It’s something we lost, it’s something we gained. You stood right there, like you were staring at the dark You disappeared, still strong, still sealed inside that car We might be foreigners and we might lords But who are we to draw our swords? We might be criminals and we might saints It’s something we lost, it’s something we gained. We might be foreigners and we might lords But who are we to draw our swords? We might be criminals and we might saints It’s something we lost, it’s something we gained.

We are flyers without sky, we are sailors stuck on shore You’ve got your heart behind your eyes, I’ve got my heart on the floor And you don’t look, so I don’t look. And you don’t look, so I don’t look. But we’ll still stay here, wait here, take the years The years we threw away when we were young But I’m a ghost here. I travel through the walls Cause I’m the moon and you’re the sun. I’m the moon and you’re the sun, Tell me what makes 1 + 1 A less than three frequency we’ve got, A less than three frequency we’ve got, A less than three frequency we’ve got But we’ll still stay here, wait here, take the years The years we threw away when we were young But I’m a ghost here. I travel through the walls Cause I’m the moon and you’re the sun. But we’ll still stay here, wait here, take the years The years we threw away when we were young But I’m a ghost here. I travel through the walls Cause I’m the moon and you’re the sun. But we’ll still stay here, wait here, take the years The years we threw away when we were young But I’m a ghost here. I travel through the walls Cause I’m the moon and you’re the sun.

I’ve got maps and I’ve got cars that tell me where to be But all the maps won’t get me far And all the towns have what I don’t need The road that bends between my headlights is the only stress I need And if home is the place we’ve all got to be, then I’ve just got to be free And we’ll go We won’t worry about the cash ‘cause we’ve got years in this old van And we’ll be a travelling 60’s band in our own Westfallia Westfallia Westfallia

Come back where we started, forgot what we wanted Are you looking for art, or are you lost like me? And the war comes, and we don’t stop The waves comes, and we don’t stop We’ll all run, and we won’t stop there. Hold up for the fall, hold up for the wall we’re building We know it’s all lost, oh, we know it’s all lost, oh And the war comes, and we don’t stop The waves comes, and we don’t stop We’ll all run, and we won’t stop there. We’ve all got our stallions, but forget where we found them Got a taste of the South, but our defenses are down And the war comes, and we don’t stop The waves comes, and we don’t stop We’ll all run, and we won’t stop there. I wanna run out wild, like the ships at sea Not stuck in this island, there’s so much more left to see There’s so much more left to see, oh, there’s so much more left to see And the war comes, and we don’t stop The waves comes, and we don’t stop We’ll all run, and we won’t stop there. And the war comes, and we don’t stop The waves comes, and we don’t stop We’ll all run, and we won’t stop there. And the war comes, and we don’t stop The waves comes, and we don’t stop We’ll all run, and we won’t stop there.

A fire fought for our control The flames hid what the sunlight stole The beauty brought the morning back And then we forgot what we had As it leaves the leaves jump off It sinks in sinks and drowns in rocks It stares at stairs that go nowhere Inside it sees the seaside air And oh, it goes, the shadows show the war is not lost We fought for something we don’t know. Oh, it goes, the shadows show the war is not lost We fought for something we don’t know. Silver bullets, golden heart Reminds us that we’re not too far Oh, Oh Empty shoes with no direction Laces up with my confession I was young, and I was lost And my own tongue had been my cross And oh, it goes, the shadows show the war is not lost We fought for something we don’t know. Oh, it goes, the shadows show the war is not lost We fought for something we don’t know. And oh, it goes, the shadows show the war is not lost We fought for something we don’t know. Oh, it goes, the shadows show the war is not lost We fought for something we don’t know For something we don’t know.
